Now a museum, Bed and Breakfast, and wedding venue, the house sits Chanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1810709586177611919.post-75320735361831053232013-05-06T19:22:00.000-07:002013-05-06T19:22:07.825-07:00Cinco de Jazz FestMy one and only day at the fest this year began in the afternoon with a stroll through the Congo Square area after saying hello to a few folks. I tried, unsuccessfully, to enter the Jazz Tent and decided to try another area of the Fairgrounds since there was still a while yet before I would see the band I had gone out that day to hear.
George French was playing over at the Economy Hall tent, so Chanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1810709586177611919.post-83791870327961886912013-05-06T11:12:00.000-07:002013-05-06T11:12:53.413-07:00Jazz Fest 2013
The last day of Jazz Fest 2013 was blessedly dry, if not a little chilly. After all the rain that had fallen in the previous week it was nice to be able to enjoy my one and only day at the fest after a two year hiatus basking in the sunlight.
Jazz Fest has evolved quite bit over the years and it was nice to see recycling stations scattered about the Fairgrounds. I only hope that people Chanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1810709586177611919.post-54783975741071616212010-04-27T17:40:00.000-07:002010-04-28T06:57:16.120-07:00First Weekend at the FestIt's Jazz Fest time again! Fresh off a plane and still recovering from a bout of jet lag I spent the entire first weekend at the Fair Grounds helping my friend Ginger Kelly in her booth in Contemporary Crafts. Since we weren't totally slammed the entire time I was able to walk around a bit every so often and take some photos and even catch a minute or two of a variety of different performances.WeChanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1810709586177611919.post-22744585496272608062010-03-21T08:05:00.000-07:002010-03-21T09:12:18.788-07:00Spring is here! The trouble with blogging about New Orleans is there is just way too much going on at any given time so that before you can organize your thoughts to type up something about an event or experience it has been replaced by five others and before you know it several weeks have passed. This is exactly what it has been like the past couple months. Just this last week for instance I attended the EdibleChanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1810709586177611919.post-22815100048315306472010-03-11T10:02:00.000-08:002010-03-11T18:40:30.127-08:00Who Dat Fever Still Going StrongThe Saints won the Superbowl, Mardi Gras is over and now things have calmed down enough for me to start to catch up on posting and everything else. I watched the game at home alone (See my Associated Content article) in peace and quiet where I could be comfortable and not have anyone talk to me through the game. Of course it was an awesome contest and I was absolutely thrilled when the Saints Chanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1810709586177611919.post-44681881219663666802010-01-19T21:45:00.000-08:002010-01-19T21:51:14.974-08:00New Orleans is gearing up for Mardi Gras, not exactly my favorite time of year, but at least there is king cake to look forward to. For now though, everyone is fixated on whether or not the Saints will make it to the Superbowl. It's been a long and stressful road with many heartbreaking years to get to this point, but we have FAITH and this could indeed be the year.I haven't been home much on Chanell D Gautreauxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00847866717792316027noreply@blogger.com0
